What to See and Do
Go On a Little Adventure...
You’re spoiled for choice when it comes to activities in Malia, even when you’re not drinking or dining. There’s an astroturf football pitch set right in the heart of the resort, and if you do fancy heading further afield to take in a number of historic sights, you just need to head to the capital of Crete, Heraklion to see its fortress and mosque.
Head out on a ferry to Rhodes or Athens for a total change of scene or partake in water sports like paragliding and banana-boating without leaving Malia at all. You can even get a Thai massage on the beach or head to the go-karting track for a spot of blistering fun with friends.
Worried about staying in peak physical condition due to over-indulgence? Then direct yourself towards the Royal Hall gym. There is Acqua Plus Waterpark and a sports centre offering ten-pin bowling and various arcade games. Shopping opportunities are vast too, whether you’re looking for new clothes, stuff for the beach or gifts for people back home.
